The 120 page anthology of modern fantasy/supernatural short comics stories, ranging from the hilarious to the heart breaking. Here's the premise:
The veil is lifted! The masquerade is undone! The mainstream mundane world has been made aware that magic is real, monsters exist, and all manner mythological people still walk amongst us. Some rejoice at this brave new world. Others hate and fear what they don't understand. Still others treat it like it's just another news cycle. Nevertheless, this revelation will have ramifications for every sapient being on Earth, human and otherwise. Concrete Arcanum is here to answer the question, "What would happen if magic were to step out from the shadows?"
"The Retrieval" by myself and CJ Oechsle, with colors by Bea Navarro, follows a small tactical team as they enter enemy territory hours after the lifting of the veil.
As always, thanks for the support! Be on the lookout for an Ennead update soon!

Dog Days of Summer

I'll be honest, I just googled where "dog days of summer" actually comes from. I know it's used to refer to the hot, lazy days near the end of summer, but wasn't sure. Remember folks, Google is your friend. That aside, things have been far from lazy on this side (despite my deepest desires). Here's what I've been up to:
All black and white books (that did not include any color books in your pledge) have been shipped so long as you filled out your survey.
It looks as though my convention season may have been cut short this year seeing as I did not get accepted into artist alley at NYCC. I'm holding out hope for a late invite, but not too much.
Books 8 and 9 are awaiting letters from yours truly, something I'll likely start tackling here soon.
Starting tomorrow I'll be releasing a page of the comic, for free, over on Substack so tell your friends! I've got about 3 years worth of pages to give away from volume 1; the hope is that by doing so I'll be able to grab some more folks' attention, who unlike you all, need a bit more convincing.
We are onto Book 5 for colors! Things are coming along smoothly there. Check the upcoming photo dump for a sample. Returning readers, you'll likely gain a bit of clarity through this one... I know, I should've done color from the jump.
I'm still publishing prose monthly on my Substack so check those out for a more in-depth look into Amashik.
Check out some of the visuals coming in! They are awesome:
Book 4. Colors by Bea Navarro. Art by Apple Nunez.
Amashik. Art by Dominique Strange. Design by yours truly.
Book 9. Art by Ed Lilley.
Book 10. Art by Luke Horsman.
If you've been meaning to subscribe to my Substack, now is as good a time as any!

Books Are on Their Way!

Afternoon folks,
Just wanted to check in and update you on the latest:
If you pledged for B/W books only, filled out a survey, and did not add any items from Backerkit, your books are in transit. This includes international orders that fit the description. Check your email for confirmations and tracking details.
(There are 3 or so exceptions because some folks only filled out Backerkit surveys and no KS survey, an oversight on my behalf. These books will be shipped this week.)
Books 8, 9, and 10 are in full swing:
Book 8. Lines by Trent Rommel.
Book 9. Art by Ed Lilley.
Book 10. Art by Luke Horsman.
Colors are well on their way:
Book 4. Art by Apple Nunez. Color by Bea Navarro.
Thank you again for your support!

It's been a few weeks folks but not much has changed. Except...
Books are shipping soon!
In the coming weeks those of you who ordered any Black and White books should be on high alert. I'm taking a beach day with the family tomorrow but after that I'll be taking frequent trips to the post office.
Rapid fire Updates:
